Kensington Welfare Rights
Union KWRU is a Philadelphia-based group dedicated to organizing the working poor, homeless, and welfare recipients in pursuit of economic justice. KWRU is a hub for the Poor People’s Economic and Human Rights Campaign. Their site includes testimony, resources, videos, and suggestions for action in the fight for justice.
Making Wages Work Provides links and downloadable articles on topics such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and other tax benefits, work incentives, the minimum wage, food stamps and other noncash income supplements, unemployment insurance, and child support enforcement and assurance.
